Adobe Gen Pro: Digital Imaging Course (2015)

Assignment #1: Place yourself into an interesting and unlikely situation. This is my tribute to Leonard Nimoy.

Assignment #2: To create an image in the manner that the artist Arcimboldo did. I used flowers and placed them in a sculpture by Bersini on the Ponte Sant’Angelo bridge in Rome.

I used some of my favorite flowers:The skin of the angel was made out of tulips; The dress is made out roses, Hydrangea, putinas, tulips, cherry blossoms, daisies, etc.; the wings are made out of carnations; the hair out of pedals from mums, gazanias, dahlias, and sunflowers. The cross is made out of cactus and cactus flowers.

I cut out the bersini sculpture and made layers. I then made corresponding cut out flower layers. Used layer masks and adjusted blending modes & opacities, blur filters, lighting filter, color and dodge burn tools, etc to make the flowers a part of the sculpture.

Assignment #3: Create a digital collage inspired by a meme.

I wanted to do a science related meme. As I cut and pasted all the images of these well renowned scientists throughout world history--I couldn't help but think if I went by appearances would I ever think them to be brilliant or crazy?

If there was a casting call for a movie for a crazy person or villain many just based on their portraits could easily portray either one. So there is a person that is portrayed as a scientist but isn’t really a scientist.

Assignment 5 Play PSD Tennis within a Google Doc. was to play game where an initial photograph was given then you add additional images to the first. Since there were several people in the class you had to create within a 5-10 minute timeframe before someone else added before you did. As you insert an image you further the story of the initial image.

Contribute an image that continues the sequence of the game.
Demonstrate interesting ideas for altering the image.
Demonstrate your technical Photoshop skills.

Assignment #5a:

In this picture the initial picture was the woman holding an iPad with the TRex and raptors. I added the background image of the World Economic Forum.

Assignment #5(c): Play PSD tennis on a google doc.
Contribute an image that continues the sequence of the game.
Demonstrate interesting ideas for altering the image.
Demonstrate your technical Photoshop skills.

Added the pinkpanter and changed the proportions of the window in accordance to the "eye" of the pink panther.
