I used this tutorial to learn how to create a lowpoly portrait, a look I really love and was curious to try out!
^ it began with this photograph.
^ first I edited the photo using curves
^ using the photo as a reference, I hand-drew the figure into polygons. saved as mesh.
^ Imported the mesh into Illustrator and refined the polygons.
^ Took a really long time and was very tedious work, but ended up with this.
^ using eyedropper and pen tool, filled all the polygons. Again, very tedious and time-consuming work. Important to have a great playlist.
^ final! Absolutely loved this work and look forward to doing more.
