A cool and characterful addition to Belfast's acclaimed Cathedral Quarter, Slide's strong speakeasy concept is based on the Prohibition era. I created an interior concept board for each floor, one focussed on the shabby, thrown-together speakeasies, and the other from the opulent Mafia-controlled perspective. They were the starting point for a striking scheme which is a real feast for the eyes, comprising a decadent bar and a shabby-chic nightclub. With several names being explored prior to settling on Slide, I designed a selection of bespoke art deco motifs and the logo which could be used together or separately as appropriate.
