Anne Amie Brand Renewal

In 1999 Dr. Robert Pamplin, Jr., one of Oregon’s most forward-thinking philanthropists and businessmen, purchased the historic Chateau Benoit Winery. His vision was to create wines of the highest quality to reflect his passion for excellence. In the process he renamed the vineyard to Anne Amie, in honor of his two daughters– Anne and Amie. Since that time in 1999, the brand had become stale and irrelevant. Anne Amie still reigns supreme for producing some of the best Pinots on the West coast, but the brand didn’t reflect the quality of the product. My approach was to renew the brand in a way that maintained the hand-crafted, elegant and Victorian qualities of the original branding, but with an updated look– to balance a classic approach and modern sophistication. Like the wines they produce, the brand identity is meant reflect a playfulness and complexity while at the same time being balanced.
