Lausanne font is something I worked on about 8 months. Her character borrows from classic Didot examples with a hint of Copperplate and my main idea here was ignited by the high contrast logotypes of famous luxury brands like Prada or Louis Vuitton. I followed the established rules, but also allowed myself some quirkiness which (I hope) adds bit of a playful voice of the typeface.
