Artelio's | Exquisite Italian Dining Since 1978

Objective
Design restaurant menu, table tent, and gift card
Convey the correct tone associated with chosen restaurant
Keep design cohesive throughout pieces

Research and Design References
These are photos of what I imagined this ficticious restaurant was like. This helped me set the tone of the menu as modern, upscale, and with heavy wine influence. These pictures helped me decide what colour to use for the branding. I also researched finished pieces of work similar to what I would be designing. This process sets the bar for what I think is accepteable to create and I aim to go above it in the alotted time span.

Sketches

This is an essential part of my process even though I do not use 99% of the ideas that I sketch, it allows me to flesh out ideas in a quick and flowing way. I also write down notes from my research around these sketches for inspiration. I use a fine Pilot V7 Precise pen to produce solid and fluid lines.
Development
Here's a cascading view of several different typefaces I tested and at the bottom you will see the style I went with for the final logo design.
Standards

Below are various brandmarks for the new Artelio's along with the brand color in descending opacities.
Final Design

All original photographs including all images except the mountain range in the pieces..
