STAR WARS SHOES COLLECTION
The Hungarian Playersroom retail chain has purchased the rights of using the Star Wars logo for two seasons. Lucasfilm Ltd. has approved the use of the Star Wars graphics on shoes and bags; we were granted access to the source files. For us, the challenge was not to rely too heavily on the materials received; instead, we would have to depict the characters of the Jedi heroes in forms and materials during product design. This was a serious hurdle since the products were manufactured in China; therefore, all of our ideas were subject to a long consultation process with the manufacturers, and only after the negotiations were completed we would send the plan for approval.
