Typography 2 - The Way of Asian Design

 

Our task for this mini exercise was to design a poster for a particular event. The event was a past event titled: 'The Way of Asian Design'. The catch however was that we were to design the poster without the use of any imagery. Purely Typography.

 

It was a rather interesting exercise for me personally because..well, I'm sure most of us had not ever heard of making a poster without images. The idea behind my layout was the idea of balance and flow. To me personally, Asian Design was about harmony and balance. To convey this, I decided to have the title act as the steady base of the composition, with the varous texts and information 'flowing' and complimenting the weight.
