Inova Energy Group provides management consulting, strategic planning and project delivery solutions in the areas of energy and sustainability. They assist private and public sector clients by devising strategies that convey a competitive advantage. With headquarters located in Chicago, their goal is to provide state-of-the-art energy consulting services that can be scaled to meet the needs of all kinds of organizations.
This time La Tortillería provided complete branding services to strengthen brand recognition. Given the background of Inova Energy Group we wanted to bring out interesting attributes of their business category in order to develop a playful brand identity. For the overall aesthetics we employed saturated colors in combination with photoluminiscent ink. The ink absorbs energy from lit-up environments and re-emits it, glowing in the dark. It was used primarily on the brand icon, which resembles an on/off button, a visual metaphor for a tiny spotlight that draws attention to the idea of ‘switching on’ a more sustainable attitude. When seeing the illuminated ‘button’, we want the onlooker to remember the importance of turning off the lights in order to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
La Tortillería was deeply concerned with properly communicating the Inova Energy Group ideals, and through a careful application of contrast and the clever use of the photoluminiscent ink we were able to achieve a memorable outcome.
