Analogue Daylight
My introduction to photography
These photographs are probably in black and white because they were shot in the past. But all joking aside, there’s something beautiful about film photography. My favourite part of working in analogue is being in the dark room. I discovered that I am slightly scared of the dark and I refuse to go in to the dark closet by myself…BUT there’s just something magical about images coming to life in the developer.

And where better to pull captions from than my assignment sheets?
Use the largest aperture you can to minimize your depth of field.
For every composition image, carefully pay attention to the edges of your frame. Have subject matter at the edge of the frame.
You may consider presentation and finish the prints according to the presentation that would be appropriate for the photograph's type
Identify how you plan to approach the idea of making a triptych - will the photographs be of the same place/subject matter or will the work act more of a comparison between things that are alike or disparate?
Be aware that diffused lighting can also have direction.
Ethically evaluative photographs offer personal interpretations.
Interpretive photographs cannot be verified or refuted with scientific evidence.
Interpretive photographs sometimes defy logic.
Some ethically evaluative photographs attempt scientific explanation, but all make ethical judgments.
"Art photography" - beautiful things photographed in beautiful ways, posed and composed for maximum aesthetic effect.
Complete a series of photographic images. As much as you can, predetermine the kinds of images you will need and how they will work in the sequence you make.
Photograph inside in daylight with a window composing your entire background.
