50 bed retirement home and associated services in urban west Dublin.

Ireland has an ageing population. The number of people over 65 is estimated at 466,000 people today and is expected to grow to over 1,000,000 by 2036. As a response to this the Health Service Executive of Ireland commissioned a series of facilities around the country. These Community Nursing Units would fulfil all the traditional functions of a nursing home while at the same time providing a social focus and physiotherapy facilities for the elderly population living locally in there own homes.
