The brief for this extension to a single family home in the suburbs of Dublin was driven by the clients’ need to provide additional space for their expanding family and their desire for their home to address and open onto the mature landscape of the property’s back garden.

The ground floor kitchen was extended into the back garden to provide a new dining area, lit from above by a skylight. A T.V. room to the side of this encloses a courtyard which separates the new extension from the existing house. Upstairs the master bedroom was extended and an en-suite and store room were added.
