This is my final project for school. I started this project around march 2014.

With the Media Design education we have to finish school knowing that we can, in theory, start our own company

and work as a freelancer.  We have to understand the financial aspects and risks involved.

 

Therefor we had find a company that would hire us as a freelancer and do 1 assignment for them. We then had to write an essay how we preformed during that assignment, all the tasks we had done etc. etc.

 

I found a company that deals in Sofa's and beds and all sorts of similar things in between, they asked me to try and make an advertisment video for 1 of their most sold sofa's. An intern back in the days had done something similar for them, but this time they wanted to try something in 3D animation.

 

Because the time for this project was unfortunatly limited and the essay i had to write, i had less time then i wanted for this project. This project was made during a time of 3 weeks.

 

I won't bore you with all the technicallities from my education and all the paperwork. Instead let's just skip to the screenshots and animation's that were the end result of this assignment.

 

This work has been made with 3D studio Max, Vray and Adobe Premiere.

I've rendered everything in 3Dmax using Vray as seperate frames because for some reason it has been impossible to render a full animation in 3Dmax on high resolution. Becouse I wanted everything on HD for a better result, i ended up rendering different frames, adding them to Adobe Premiere and adding tekst in the same program. In the end I uploaded everything to Youtube and linked everything together. Below you will find an example of 1 of the video's i made. By clicking on the differend colors in the top right you can swap between different colors and fabrics of the couch.
