I worked on this design project with Jackson Wang whose client, Hotel Lautner, operates an upscale boutique hotel in Desert Hot Springs, CA. The hotel is an architectural wonder of angles and geometric shapes jutting out of a Californa barren desert landscape. Jackson provided the art direction of origami, desert mountains, and suggested using their site's sepia tones as a color reference. I did two versions of the moodboard varying the geometry in the shapes and color palates in them.
Actual images from the hotel and its furnishings are contained within the shapes. The mood boards would provide the artistic direction of their new website.
