México es un país lleno de color, pero más allá del color en sí, creo que es el pueblo quien le da una identidad única. México es conocido por la celebración del Día de Muertos, donde la flor "cempasúchil" llena cada lugar. He creado la forma de la flor con papel dejando que su color naranja y brillante llene el interior de sus pétalos. Creo que el color tanto de México, así como el dolor llevado por la muerte de un ser querido, se llevan dentro, en el alma del país y de la gente.
La pieza se realizó dentro de una época en donde México sufre de violencia, gente desaparecida, muerte;
tanto el dolor de dichos acontecimientos, como el color y la fuerza del país, lo lleva dentro de su alma cada mexicano.

Mexico is a country full of color, but beyond the color itself, I think it's the people who gives it a unique identity.
Well known for the celebration of the Day of the Death, where the "cempasúchil" flower fills up every place. I created the flower's shape with paper and let its bright orange fill the inside of its petals. I think both Mexico's color, as well as the sorrow carried for the death of a loved one, are carried within, in the country's and people's soul.
