Brief: Set by YCN for the brand Syfy UK to help them reach out to Sci-fi lovers and show they share the same passion as their viewers and target audience.
 
I really enjoyed working on this brief as it allowed me to play around and really look into what the genre is. I decided to look at the icons of Sci-fi (as we weren't allowed to use shows from Syfy) and place them in everyday situations. This helped to merge fantasy and reality as many of the fans imagine living in the world of their heroes but I wanted to twist the idea and have their heroes in our world.
 
This campaign is meant to humourous and create a better relationship with the fans.
The tagline "This is our reality" suggests that Syfy share a mutual feeling about the genre and that Sci-Fi is also their escapism.

This tv sting for Syfy UK shows the process someone goes through when imagining that their heroes are with them in the real world. In this case a man with a short fringe mentally changes to Spock from Star Trek because of the slight resembleance.
