This was a group project within the urbanism practice Still [Urban Design], based in Oporto. The proposal took part on an international ideas competition to redesign the 42nd Street in Manhattan, New York. This proposal is both a provocation and a tribute to the order of Manhattan’s grid; it conveys both the displacement of motorized traffic and a reference to its strong presence at the site for decades.
