During the construction classes, students were put face to face with practical exercises. Questions like how do you detail a ventilated wall or how to build correctly so that a basement is not affected by humidity were answered with drawn by hand solutions. That helped the students to memorize and to have a deep notion of the dimensions of each component, beyond a notion of scale. In the end sometimes the solutions found would turned out to be wrong. Learning was made from this ‘failing process’.
