Poster design and screen prints for 1960s Film Festival.

 

My brief was to create a poster which would reflect 1960s style. I discovered that Op Art became very popular among artists in 1960s and decided to base my artwork on optical illusion. Black and white photo was used to add vintage feel to the design. It was combined with bright purple and orange, some of the most popular colours in 1960s. The typeface was also carefully chosen to match the 1960’s style.
