As far back as I can remember I have been fascinated with the natural rhythms, cycles, and creatures of the universe. Growing up in a small town with woods for backyard and the ocean a block away was one major influence on what inspires me today. By the time I was in grade school I could tell you most types of animals and what trees they lived in or near. That was when I realized I was forever apart of nature and was born to stay close to what has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. In my pieces, I portray a message and want to change people’s way of thinking. I have found a connection to conceptual jewelry, recycled material and an imperfect form. This exploration led me to the thought process of nature being controlled by humans and the short presence we live here for. True presence is what we need to obtain in order to become aware of the beauty and sacredness in nature. A big part of my artistic integrity is gathering all natural materials of personal meaning and working in the moment, responding to what feels right.
Through my life experiences and endless inspiration I have found that there is no way to control nature or your true self but only to engulf in it and play in its beauty.
