"Vertebrae" is a piece of work inspired by the cruelty of shark finning and how fundamental sharks are to the ocean. Around 30 million sharks are killed annually solely for their fins. Once their fins are retrieved the sharks are thrown back into the water alive with no fin making it impossible to move and breath. This piece is to be worn with pride and as a reminder to be a part of nature rather than apart from it.
