Did you know that a lot of the textures, templates and brushes you get online are made digitally? In other words, they weren't made from real materials. Typically, they're made from Photoshop generated textures, uncopyrighted (and poor quality) photographs and other junk. 

 

The Analog Ink Foundry is a Photoshop texture kit made by my own hands. Then carefully digitized for you. 

 

 

I have to admit, I've made my fair share of textures and resources digitally. But I've been on an extended trip to Florence, Italy. Home of the renaiscance and some of the greatest artist who ever lived. 

 

All this inspired me to step away from the glowing computer screen and get my hands dirty. So I went to the little art shop a mile from my home and purchased the best inks, hand made cotton paper, rubber ink rollers and other materials I could find. 

 

Then I spent the next week waking up, brewing some fresh espresso on my stove and making textures on my patio. I photographed the textures, did some editing in Photoshop, and made it my goal to make the best texture kit I've ever made. 

This truly is an in depth set. And it was specifically made for actually printing art work (I made it with Etsy sellers in mind). But you can also use it to create web resources or anything else.
