Logo concept for Six Shooters BBQ " Where the food is worth the shot".
They wanted a character holding two six shooters. Maybe a big Texan Guy. then the name and slogan under him. older setting. no crazy bright colors. Make it look a little rustic, with a ranch style or western style font.
My design concept was a bit too cartoon for the style they were looking for, needed to be more tough and rugged, a bit more like an old wanted poster. In a redesign I would work in that type, I like the hand lettering I did in my sketch better than the altered typeface I ended up using, the sketched version just needs to look like it was block printed or was run through a printing press to fit with the wanted poster style.
