Rolf Schock Prize – Identity 2011

Dr. Rolf Schock bequeathed part of his fortune to fund four prizes: philosophy, mathematics, visual arts, and music. The prize, which amounts to about $60,000, is awarded every three years.

Ritator designed a visual identity for the prize that communicates the four different subject areas. For example, the logotype which carries the initials RSP is shaped like a calculation, or a musical score, or a piece of abstract art, or a semiotic model. In addition, Ritator produced the Schock biography, which ties in with the graphic identity of the prize.
