CUT'n'BEND
for 'hands on door handles design competition' promoted by designboom.com
CUT'n'BEND is based on a simple process, a smart way to save money and material.
Starting from a sheet of metal, after consecutive and complementary cuttings, you get the planar developments of the handles (this method avoid waste of material).
Thus, these planar developments are bended and then welded to an inner hub to form the final handle configuration.
