Clayrific is a health & beauty service which comes from the mudpots at Yellowstone's Supervolcano, in USA,Wyoming. Clayrific is a play on words from 'Clay' and 'Terrific'. The export of mudpots is a source of clay and can be used for the face and hair, it enhances the skin and benefits those whom either have dry, sensitive or oily skin. My colour scheme during the project is based on the PH strip (i.e - Red indicates acid so would be suitable for those who have dry skin and vice versa). The target audience is aimed at teenagers but also adults who also feel skin concious. The packaging was quite important and to try suit both audiences I have designed the external packaging to be sophisticated and clinical, where the internal packaging has a burst of crazy textures within the colour scheme. The material for the Clayrific packaging comes in a sustainable glass jar and can be leant on it's side or bottom - this way it can be easily placed in the bathroom, bedroom or possibly the kitchen sink. Overall, for a first attempt on packaging & branding I feel this is a strong concept and even the words are semi - informal and punchy as how Americans would portray current brands, such as SUPER is emphasised to bring out this big impact America gives.
