I was commissioned by Mind Orchard alongside with Disney to create several character portraits for a web game on the Disney website: "Evermoor" which is based on the short 4 episode tv show.
It was a very fun, yet challenging project to to be a part of as there was a lot of emphasis on stylized realism of the characters. It took a few tries to fully capture the essence of each character but in the end I think the final product speaks for itself.
It reinforced the importance of capturing the essence of each character and have that shine through in the art, rather than just trying to do a realistic portrait based from a photo.
I worked together on this project with fellow artist: Joanne Ju who also worked on the in-game character art and provided sketches for some of the character portraits.
