Fil Rouge | Kitchen blender
Student projet
The concept of this project was the creation of a blender with security and washability improvements. The two mains features of the object are the substitution of the rotor blades and the alimentation of the motor by induction.
The blender consists of three distinct parts: a thin base - including a transfomer and the electromagnetic transmitter, a glass cup, and the top assembly - including the motor, the central rotor and the cutting system.
The electrical power is transmitted to the motor only when the top part is placed on the cup - the shape of the base allows the central rotor to take place on the induction transmitter.
Moreover, the traditional stainless steel blade has been replaced by six nylon wires functioning like the cut system of a brushcutter. The repartition of the wires in two levels allows an optimized cut efficiency. The principal advantage of this inovation is the elimination of any dangerous cutting parts. Combined with the induction alimentation, which disconnects the electrical supply when the blender is out of its operating position, this feature lets the user wash and manipulate it safely .

Images realized with 3d Studio Max,Vray and photoshop. The mechanical study was developed with Solidworks.
