Boneshaker is a well known british publication about bike culture. We were contacted to illustrate 'The First Trip', an article about Albert Hoffman's initial LSD-driven experience in 1943, and other matters regarding the relations between bicycles and acid, written by Jet McDonald (jetmcdonald.com)
Our work for Boneshaker was inspired by the iconic and recognizable design on the original LSD tablets, which in turn refer to Albert's episode. We rescued some of the essential elements from these designs to result in this unique and special artwork for the occasion.
