Sibella Court is an internationally recognised interior stylist and product designer based in Sydney, Australia. She also runs a boutique haberdashery called The Society Inc, an amazing treasure trove of oddities and curiosities.

 

‘Etcetera – Creating Beautiful Interiors With the Things you Love’ is the first of three books I have designed for Sibella. A very hands-on project which incorporates a range of beautiful interiors and details with a large collection of paper, card and fabric to form a richly layered collage throughout. I created a hand stamped alphabet from an antique printing set which added a very individual element to the design. ‘Etcetera’ also needed to be a tactile product and an extension of Sibella’s own style. We decided on using a combination of different internal stocks and incorporated screen printed grey board for the case cover with an embossed brown paper jacket to give the finished book texture. I physically collaged many of these pages by hand to add a realistic sense of depth. A welcome change from a strictly digital approach and a chance to create something very unique.
