MIX Copenhagen LesbianGayBiTrans Film Festival. is attended by more than 12,000 people each year
and it is one of the oldest LGBT film festivals in the world.
Your Local Studio helped conceptualise and design the new identity for the festival. The aim is to effectively communicate with and reach all potential audiences in a way that truly reflects the festival’s uniqueness.
The grid is inspired by a movie strip and is used across all promotional material – from print to digital.
Among the deliverables were a fully responsive website, a magazine and a printed programme. We used
long exposure photography to simulate the motion blur of a movie strip, and at the same time illustrate
the overlap of, or blurred lines between gender, identity and sexual orientation.
