Data visualization poster based on criminal statistics in Canada.
Each province is respresented by an abstract form representing it's criminal profile.
Each province is respresented by an abstract form representing it's criminal profile.
Crimes are seperated into 6 categories:
Other crimes, property crimes, money crimes,
murder, sexual crimes and violence.
Other crimes, property crimes, money crimes,
murder, sexual crimes and violence.
The form is then multiplied with a ratio that is determined
by the crime/population rate for each province.
This project was accomplished during an intensive 2-week data visulization workshop at Université du Québec
à Montréal by Frederik De Bleser, co-founder of EMRG and author of Nodebox and Donato Ricci
of DensityDesign.

Criminal profiles have been created with Nodebox. The final product was then made visual in Adobe's InDesign.
