Sturdy, narrow wallet

Crafts
A wallet, yet again. This time made of thick, uncoloured leather.

The thickness of the leather forced me to minimise the layers of the wallet and to give up on everything except the absolutely essential features. I had to think what's needed and what's not. The result is almost obvious but wasn't easy to find out. It only features two pockets and one cut that allows for quick access to one card. That one card, the debit card, is the only card I use daily, so everything else can be tucked away.

The wallet is not extremely thin because of the thick leather, but this time I appreciated the sturdy feel more that thinness. The wallet is, however, unusually narrow, measuring only 68 mm.

The wallet is hand stitched with strong hemp string. I applied olive oil to the leather to soften and darken it a bit. It will develop a nice patina quite quickly because of its light colour (already visible in the pictures below).
After 1.5 years of use some patina has developed.
