Smithsonian NPG Exhibit: The Sixties

The 1960's were a tumultuous, culture–shifting decade in American history. Baby Boomers came of age and the violent conflict in Vietnam rose and raged on, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. & President John F. Kennedy were assassinated, Apollo 8 orbited the moon, the Cuban Missle crisis, the Beatles, peace, love, rock and roll are all just the tip of the iceberg.
