Lockdown Brewing Company
My brother came to me and asked for a identity and story for his brewing compay that he and his friend had started in the garage. They had the idea to call it Lockdown Brewing Company because of thier close proximity to Folsom Prison in California. Once that idea came into play the rest of the artwork was all based around landmarks in the surrounding area of Folsom California.
Lockdown Identity and Icons - I used some old jail house keys as a main element in the identity. The key ring became the O in Lockdown and the keys themselves became and alternate icon that can be used elsewhere.
Golf Classic Cups and Coasters - The key ring allowed itself the opportunity to put some golf ball dimples inside of it when Lockdown had its first ever golf clasic. The coasters take the watchtower and the slogan "Home of the Folsom Prison Brews" as a play on a famous Johnny Cash song.
Business Cards and Stamps - The business cards gave Lockdown the opportunity to showcase both the identity and the icon of the keys themselves. The stamps allowed different uses for different slogans such as "Release the Prisoner In You".
Bottle Labels - These labels use local landmarks in both thier names as well as the label art. Lockdown wanted to keep this a local feeling brewing company hense the landmarks all being fairly close to the Prison and Lockdown headquarters.
Poster - This poster is one they use at events and at the tasting rooms as handouts to keep brand awareness and loyalty up. Below you can see how the posters converted into pint glass graphics.
