Taiwan was full of many beautiful places where various kinds of plants and animals can live. However, what’s going on on this Formosa? Now there are few places for creatures to live because human poisoned it with our greed. Yes, it was totally contaminated, we human contaminated!
People paid less attention on environmental issues in the past, because information related to environmental disaster was often transcribed orally. Therefore, We thought about how can convey the message we want to spread. Finally, we found that the answer is “Design”. Hopefully through our creativity, people can think reminate and pay more attention on this issue.
The project focuses on:
1.Describing the18 most disastrous effected events caused by man of Taiwan(within 100 years) with pictorials .
2.Converting the critical points of disastrous events into disastrous monsters.
(Inspired by the concept of an classical book “Classic of Mountain and Sea”)
3.Rewriting the 18 serious events into stories so that people can easily understand and be impressed.

婆娑之洋 美麗之島 東瀛為此而名
然近年間其姿與色 褪而不復見 何為其害也
台灣有許多的美麗景致與物種多樣性，但是近年來人為開發與汙染破壞，卻讓這片土地的美麗變色。我們想由人為災害的角度出發，藉由真實新聞所改編的故事畫報，讓更多的台灣人重視這片土地正面臨的危機。
但以往災害給人的感覺是嚴肅、沉重的，主動關心的程度也不高，因此我們轉換呈現方式，利用畫報與故事包裝人為災害的新聞議題，加上具象化的災獸來呈現每種災害對環境造成的影響，藉此提高大眾對於台灣人為災害的關注。
