Programs and Events
Programs and events often involve multiple pieces from invitations to signage to support pieces. These examples showcase a visually consistent approach that ties all aspects of the events into one unified image.
E'ireann go Bra'ch! Happy
St. Patrick's day!

The marketing department at CITGO asked me to create an image for an incentive trip for the CITGO marketers. The destination was to be the Emerald Isle! The instruction I was given was to design materials for the event in such a way as to convey a look of quality and elegance. Nothing silly or cliché.

The results are here for you to see. I started with a paper selection of dark green corrugated stock and a complimentary white columned paper. I located a family of very nice Gaelic fonts and created a Celtic knot design to be used on all of the material. The knot design was embossed on stickers that were applied to de-bossed circles on the corrugated paper. The binding was done with green ribbon that tied the pieces together. We provided a CD of Celtic music packaged in a box made from the corrugated paper as an announcement. I had several boxes of hand-made paper created and blind embossed each sheet with the knot design to give as favors.

The effect was an image as beautiful as the destination. Call me if I can help you create something of beauty for your next event. And go pinch the next person who forgot to wear green today!
Zen and the Art of the American West
Jackson Hole Wyoming is a place of rugged beauty, breathtaking views and a luxurious resort. The Amangani Resort in Jackson Hole was the location for CITGO Petroleum's national incentive trip. It was an opportunity for the company’s top producers to hear about the newest marketing programs and enjoy a world class venue. CITGO needed promotional materials that would work well in the Jackson Hole atmosphere. A tall order when you consider that the location was a combination of rustic charm, natural beauty and luxury.

The Amangani Resort sits at the base of the Grand Teton Mountain range. The atmosphere was a combination of American western design and Asian styled appointments. The effect was a very serene and "Zen" like atmosphere.  My design elements captured the essence of the property and surrounding area by striking a balance between rustic materials and tasteful design.

Room "cards" were created for the guests by attaching a message to a piece of natural slate tile with a raffia tie. The paper selected had a heavy wood fiber that echoed the rustic feel but the images and fonts were quite elegant. In-room menus for room service were created by wrapping a piece of leather around the menu and attaching it with a strip of barbed wire and raffia.

The guests were very happy with the pieces and CITGO was pleased that the look of their materials was consistent with the high standard of the resort. Let me know how I can help with your next event and together we will create something zen-sational!
