Crisp brand Walkers re-launched their popular ‘Do Us a Flavour’ campaign in January 2014, challenging the British public to conjure up some new great-tasting flavour combinations. The best six are then shortlisted and narrowed down by public vote to decide upon a £1million prize winner.
 
“Bigger and better than ever before” the marketing campaign (running up until October) has utilised various celebrity endorsements, TV commercials, guerrilla marketing stunts, and a wide usage of social media channels to raise brand awareness with great effect; receiving over 1.2 million competition entries.
Walkers approached Mobile5 to design a full page mobile rich media ad, briefly explaining the competition concept and directing users straight to a dedicated mobile site where they could enter the competition.
 
I was given creative control to design the idea for the ad, deciding on parallax slider to deliver the imagery and copy in an interesting way. Sliding your finger across the page would animate the circular icons, text, and background, smoothly transitioning from one screen to another, closing on a large CTA and shaking crisp packet.
