Oslo Camerata
Identity for Oslo's unique string orchestra.

Established in 1998, Oslo Camerata is a string instruments orchestra of young talented professional musicians from the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo, and, thanks to the freshness and fervor of its sound, has enjoyed huge success on festivals and tours throughout Europe, Brazil and India.

The visual identity sets a contrast between the classic background - rendered through the use of black&white and classical typography - and the colorful passionate flow of music and emotions. The different layers of color are representative of  the different timbre of each instrument, with its own volume, intensity and speed, resulting in a mix of different sounds that dissolve into each other. The final colored composition represents the played “piece”, borrowing its lines from the graceful  shapes of the Norwegian landscape, major inspiration for the composer Edvard Grieg.
