中国—东盟人文交流年LOGO的创作源于中华传统智慧的精髓，以世界文化遗产中国传统木工技艺中的榫卯结构为灵感，将六边形晶体边框巧妙融合“中”、“东”、“人”、“文”四个字，通过榫卯的独特设计，形成紧密连接的结构。六边形晶体边框寓意着中国—东盟相互之间坚固而稳定的人文交流桥梁，几何形状象征着和谐与平衡。中国红突显了两地之间牢固的友好关系，代表着热情、勇气和活力、繁荣、美丽。榫卯结构的处理象征着中国—东盟人文交流深厚的文化渊源和人与人之间相互依存、相互支持的关系。中、东、人、文四要素巧妙融入设计，代表着两地在人文交流中的互相启迪、互相影响。篆刻创意则既突显了中华传统文化的深厚底蕴，又强调了人文交流的历史深度，表达着古老文明与现代交融的美好愿景，也寓意着中国—东盟中心的智慧结晶。也寓意着建设和平、安宁、繁荣、美丽、友好的“五大家园”的美好愿望，为中国—东盟人文交流年注入了深厚的文化内涵和积极向往。
The creation of the ASEAN-China People-to-People Exchange Year logo is inspired by the essence of traditional Chinese wisdom, drawing specifically from the traditional woodworking technique of mortise and tenon joints, a UNESCO-listed world cultural heritage. The logo ingeniously integrates the characters "中" (China), "东" (East), "人" (People), and "文" (Culture) into a hexagonal crystal frame through the unique design of mortise and tenon joints. The hexagonal crystal frame symbolizes the robust and stable bridge of people-to-people exchange between China and ASEAN, representing harmony and balance in its geometric shape.
The use of Chinese red emphasizes the strong and firm friendship between the two regions, symbolizing passion, courage, vitality, prosperity, and beauty. The handling of the mortise and tenon structure signifies the profound cultural heritage and the mutual dependence and support in people-to-people exchange between China and ASEAN. The incorporation of the elements "中" (China), "东" (East), "人" (People), and "文" (Culture) into the design, along with the arrows moving towards each other below, represents the mutual inspiration and influence in people-to-people exchange between the two regions.
