Urban sketching has been a passion of mine for years. Initially, it was about capturing the visual essence of a place, but over time, I discovered it goes beyond mere replication. It's about encapsulating my personal experience, feelings, and the essence of the "now" moment in a particular space. I strive to draw not just what I see but what I feel, seeking out the subtle triggers that evoke my emotions.

I realized there might be more dimensions to explore. The constraints of traditional urban sketching, confined to a single image, often left intriguing aspects of a scene unexplored. Unlike static sketches, comics offer a rich array of tools – from close-ups to sequential storytelling – allowing for a more immersive exploration of the urban landscape.
I've done a lot of sketching in the metro, but framing them into comic book form really amplifies their impact, giving them a whole new level of depth and visual interest.
Autumn morning in Taiwan, while waiting near train station.
Serene vibes of a Taiwan grocery store. And busy coffee shop near Taipei 101.
The epic tale of daily chores and the life of household equipment.
Mixing urban sketching with comics let me capture the busy energy and complexity of cities in a powerful way. For more look my website.
