Misty Monochrome

Navigating the expanse of endless wheat fields can be lonely.  It's you and the wind blowing in the grass, and occasionally the rain.  Most of the year you can spend all day and not see a single pickup driving on the gravel roads.  But that just means you can be completely uninhibited while taking photos of ...absolutely nothing in the rain.

Scanning the radio stations confirm that you are in an alternative universe, and don't bother looking for cell coverage.  When you rarely do see someone, it's clear they know you don't belong there.  "What is that strange man doing trespassing while standing in the mud staring off into the field, photographing nothing?"  No amount of friendly chatting will ease their suspicions that you are lost, out of gas, or planning an act of vandalism.  The camera only confuses them.  They are blind to the beauty,  This is a forum for industry, not art.  They are happy to move along and not get entangled with a deranged unemployed artist from a distant city.  "Have a nice day, ah guess..."
