Visualization of Excoriation Syndrome
This project is a week journey of gathering personal data about my Excoriation Disorder (Skin Picking Or Dermatillomania), Drawing inspiration from the “Dear Data Project” by Georgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec, it frames a personal experience with this habit that I had for the past years. The data gathered focus on finding relationships where when these actions take place, the data evolves around what kind of situation I was in, how I was feeling, the geographical location, if I noticed the behavior and the "gravity" of the way I pick on the skin. The data gathered was then transferred to a way to better visualize its relations, instead of using a table to do so.
Academic project made within the curricular unit "Information Visualization", the project consisted on illustrate a week in my life focusing on a specific aspect, in this case my Excoriation Disorder. Project made with the orientation of Catarina Sofia Henriques Maçãs and Evgheni Polisciuc.
