International Womans Day 2024

International Women's Day 2024
We aim not only to celebrate this day, but also to convey a message of liberation and empowerment, providing a reflection upon what it means to be a woman in today's society, its achievements, challenges and how we can ensure that all women have the same opportunities and rights, in the fight for gender equality.

“Luna-Selene”

It’s feminine energy the essence of every woman. Ability, endurance, strength.

Women are always deeply connected with Universal forces and natural elements,
In my art I always focus  on feminine energies.
in this case I created my  interpretations of two female Goddesses of ancient myths.
They are divine  creatures blended in a sparkling enchanted galactic and natural element.
Still a long way to go to reach women’s freedom but I have faith:
divine light always wins on dark evil forces.
Even in our troubled times.

"Patriarchy"

The old Patriarchal culture seems like it leads us to the right path but it's destructive per se!

“My secret garden “

The secret garden refers to a personal own place safe and quiet, but it's not a real place, it is a state of being.
By visiting this garden every woman can know her own strength by finding herself and being the key of her own success.

"Griffin"

In various cultures around the world, the Griffin is considered to be an extremely powerful and majestic mythical creature.
This being has the head, wings and claws of an eagle and the body, back legs and tail of a lion and is known to be a guardian of treasures.
With this piece I want to celebrate womanhood around the world and to focus on women’s strength, courage and power.

"Order and Chaos"

Every woman is infinitely rich in human values.
Chaos is the passion she puts into facing everything life throws at her. Order is its wisdom and balance.
She is love, she is against wars.

NICOLA HEIM

“A new day begins”

To me the female image appears like the sun, the country is still domineered by men (god father, son, Adam…), she is still in the background, but she is rising.

The artworks relate to “Adam's Creation” Sistine Chapel ceiling' by Michelangelo in which God created Adam in his image. While Eve was created from Adam's rib so that he would not be so alone. This scenario already provides a clear hierarchy on which the patriarchy is built. Followed by the fall of man and the expulsion from paradise. Eve, in turn, is responsible for the expulsion, the Bible says. In other words, the woman is fickle and cannot be trusted. The role of women is supported by such stories. From the major religions in which women are repeatedly portrayed as easy to seduce. Just consider Loth's wife, for example. So that we women often no longer trusted ourselves or, above all, each other. We need new, empowering content and stories.

"Let me not lose my dream"

I would like to inspire women never to give up, never to lose sight of their hopes and dreams, they have an inner strength that I believe in and wanted to symbolise with the oak tree. It has been used since the beginning, by ancient civilisations, to exhibit strength, longevity, endurance, fertility, power and honesty. The oak tree was sacred and served as a substitute for a church.

Feel that force and power from nature, run through you, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

They hold their church in their hand
Striking the world with their presence
Forging the way for the broken
Buried beneath you
Decades of struggle
Mirrored in troubled skies
We become the soil
The twist of unfinished dust
The movement of air
Pale in the landscape of the moon
Spirits fill space
The forest growing to nourish us
The resistance of bodies
Close to death
Rooted in oak trees
The deities, the ear of the earth
Clothe humanity in belief
Planting knotted seeds
The rebirth of blessings
Singing in your dreams
We acknowledge the lost
As the skies serenade death
We, the aftermath, holding belief
Plant knotted seeds in our future
Seeking protection from the divine
[We celebrate women's day
To recognise those who survive
Who continue to fight
Women's rights are human rights ]
