Intervals Festival

Intervals is an annual festival in Nizhny Novgorod dedicated to media art. It's more than just an event—it's a celebration that has evolved over six years into a significant cultural phenomenon. This festival encompasses a citywide media exhibition, an enriching educational program, and a captivating musical lineup.

In 2023, Intervals showcased the works of renowned media artists from Australia, Spain, China, Japan, Russia and Indonesia. Each piece contributed to a diverse and immersive experience, weaving together stories from different corners of the globe.

As the festival concluded, its impact lingered—a testament to the power of art to transcend boundaries and unite communities. INTERVALS continues to grow, promising new chapters of creativity and inspiration in the years to come.

The concept is based on a beam of light penetrating through the texture of typography, thus referring to the multimedia screen as the primary image of media art. As visitors gather around the installation, they find themselves immersed in a world of sound and light, where words dance across the screen.

And so, as the night wears on and the city pulses with life, the artists stand back and watch as their creation becomes a symbol of hope and inspiration for all who behold it, in this bustling city, where the lines between reality and fantasy blur.
