Typeface design for a historical music festival
Rock in Rio, the historical music festival created in Brazil in 1985 by Roberto Medina, it was reproduced in Lisboa, Portugal, since 2003.
For its twentieth anniversary celebration in Portugal, we were invited by Dentsu Creative and Rock World Lisboa to develop the Rock in Rio typeface inspired on the letters of his iconic logo. Our job was to create a handwritten typeface with multiple graphic solutions that provide flexibility and variety when defining words.
