Skull and Bones UI/Visual Design

Way back in 2020 Ubisoft Singapore reached out for some conceptual UI / Visual Design ideas for the then still in heavy production new IP Skull and Bones. It was a novel task to try and take a somewhat modern pass at a very well explored aesthetic - Art Director Wil Wells wanted me to take the core ideas of open sea exploration, nautical imagery, old world map aesthetics and a black/gold motif to create some ideas they could run with internally. As with most speculative work not much of this seems to be in the final product but there do seem to be some small glimmers in the live game UI and marketing.
