The design for Video Days by Cape Sleep was inspired by its rich stories, warm memories, dreaming and distant travels. Brimming with saturated red and pink tones. The typography emphasises the poetic qualities in the lyrics. Dreamy crops of the beautiful photos by Kazunari Isshiki make you dive deeper into the stories. Vinyl and CD each have a unique design.
Cape Sleep is the new band name of Dutch artist Kim Janssen, who previously released three albums and an EP under his own name. Under new name Cape Sleep, Kim embraces his long desire to play in a band, surrounded by musicians and singers. With his new band, he takes a step away from his autobiographical songs and shares fairy-tale-like stories filled with characters wandering from place to place. Cape Sleep is the name on the marquee that draws you into the world of the songs before you step inside the theatre.
