In the 4th semester we had to design a multistory building.
It's a steel structure, we had to use only existing concepts from experienced companies.
One of the challenges was that the building was located very close to a river.
Also the building had to follow a higher energy efficiency than normal, with alternative energy sources such as solar panels.
Further more, our group was divided into different teams to undertake a more detailed look in certain parts in the building.
In my case my contractor was a 'Staircase' contractor. I had to prepare additional information for installation. A number a detail drawings as well as a number of documents: Work specification, quality assurance, Risk management, etc.
