[15-12-23]:One year after ten people died in Ayacucho as a result of military repression during demonstrations against the government of Dina Boluarte, citizens and civil and political associations gathered at the Paseo de los Héroes Navales in Lima for a cultural vigil in commemoration of the victims of state violence. At least 50 people died due to excessive use of force by the police and the Army in different parts of the country between December 2022 and January 2023. Currently, investigations are still at an early stage and there are no convictions.
